The Baskerville Digital Friendship Platform is linked to a wide range of online courses for Iranian students. These courses are specifically designed to help you develop the skills necessary to excel in your studies and career. American universities offer these courses in a flexible format that enables you to study at your own pace and on your own schedule.

If you are looking for a flexible and affordable way to earn a college degree or certificate, Weber State Online is a great option. BIDF is a digital platform that connects to online courses offered by American universities. BDIF does not offer these courses. However, our platform makes it possible for prospective students to search for information provided by universities to help them tailor their educational needs and find essential information.

BIDF is a digital community promoting friendship through education, providing a virtual space for students to exchange ideas and enhance mutual understanding. Join the Baskerville Friendship Club and start exchanging ideas that help build civic friendship between Americans and Iranians.

What is the Baskerville Friendship Club (BFC)?

The Baskerville Friendship Club (BFC) aims to foster friendship and understanding among young Iranians and Americans. This Club provides a virtual space where people who share a common interest in promoting and strengthening cross-cultural connections can meet and discuss issues of interest, learn about society and culture, and share their common interest in and knowledge of each other’s countries. Students may post educational videos and information about culture, society and history. Club members may also tutor others, either as English language tutors or study tutors.

If students cannot pay for online courses can they apply for scholarships?

Baskerville Institute will consider applications for scholarships to cover tuition. We will not transfer any funds to Iran. The scholarship will be paid directly to universities offering the online courses to be used towards tuition costs covered. Students can apply for scholarship by filling out the Scholarship Application. Interested Iranian students must have the following qualifications:

  1. Must be a registered undergraduate student in an Iranian university. Online universities in Iran are not eligible.
  2. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  3. Must provide a letter of recommendation from a professor.
  4. If interested in a scholarship to pay courses, they must also complete an essay about how this scholarship and the selection of online courses benefits their professional growth.

Does BIDF have advisers who speak Persian?

Yes. We have bilingual staff of student interns who can assist with inquiries, applications, and general questions about online courses. The portal has chat room managed by bilingual student interns at Baskerville Institute. Our student interns will provide guidance to interested Iranian students about how they can register for courses.

Does BIDF offer online courses?

BIDF does not offer courses. The platform links to existing online courses offered by American universities. This includes both tuition-based courses, as well as free online courses offered by Americans universities. BIDF allows prospective Iranian students to go through one website for their research on online courses of interest. All interested students must apply through the universities / colleges and go through their application process.

What is Baskerville Institute Digital Friendship (BIDF)?

BIDF is a project of the Baskerville Institute, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization devoted to supporting and strengthening the bonds of friendships between Iranians and Americans. The BIDF carries out this mission by providing a digital portal for Iranian students inside Iran to connect to hundreds of online courses offered by American universities. BDIF’s primary mission is to make it possible for qualified Iranian students in Iran to go through one website for their research on online courses offered by American universities.
